Iris Alliance Fund Hosts Fourth Annual Gala October 19, 2005 - San Francisco, California

The Iris Alliance Fund hosted its Fourth Annual Gala fundraiser, Building the Path to the Promise of Prevention, on October 19, 2005 at the Carnelian Room of San Francisco's Bank of America building. This dynamic event featured keynote speaker Tipper Gore and honoree Anne Bakar of Telecare Corporation. The event also recognized Mental Health Association in California Executive Director Rusty Selix and former Assemblyman Darrell Steinberg, for their leadership as the authors of California's groundbreaking Proposition 63. KRON-4 News Health Producer Kevin McCormack served as emcee.
That same day, the Iris Alliance Fund also convened its annual meeting of the National Leadership Council. The meeting featured remarks by Dr. James Mazza - President of the American Association of Suicidology, California State Senator Tom Torlakson, Dr. Steve Mayberg – Director of the California Department of Mental Health, Pat Loomes – Executive Director of Girls, Inc. of Alameda County and Jorge Valencia - Executive Director of the Trevor Project.
